Overview

The Gmünder Weihnachtsmarkt 2025 ran from approximately late October until just before Christmas 2025 in the medieval old town. Over 70 exhibitors set up their stalls on Marktplatz and Johannisplatz; the traditional Nikolausmarkt in November complemented the offerings. Admission was free.

The previous edition followed the established successful format: around 8 weeks of Christmas market atmosphere in the medieval old town, over 70 exhibitors, an integrated Nikolausmarkt in November. The city of Schwäbisch Gmünd solidified its role as one of the top Advent destinations in Ostwürttemberg, alongside Aalen and Ulm.

The long duration attracted a mixed audience: day-trippers from Stuttgart, Heidenheim, and Aalen, families, as well as overnight guests in the surrounding tourist locations of the Swabian Jura.
