The Gladbeck Open-Air Summer already kicked off in 2025 with initial dance and stage formats at Willy-Brandt-Platz. Based on these initial experiences, the city developed the new „Gladbeck tanzt“ format for 2026 — an intergenerational open-air dance festival as the season opener.
The 2025 season laid the groundwork for the more comprehensive 2026 format. For years, the city of Gladbeck has positioned Willy-Brandt-Platz as an open-air stage for a wide variety of events, from concerts to participatory activities.
