Overview
In 2025, the Osterby Totengilde also held its Gildefest at the Old Train Station. The traditional festival with a parade, shooting competition, and guild ball is firmly anchored in the Osterby community calendar and is one of the most important traditional events in Amt Hürup in the Schleswig-Flensburg district.
The 2025 edition followed the sequence developed over generations. As every year, the social function of the Gildefest was at the center — the opportunity for the village community to meet, celebrate, and keep traditions alive. A new king or queen was chosen by shooting, and the guild ball fittingly concluded the day.
