Gilching Art and Culture Week — Edition 2025

The 11th edition of the Gilching Culture Week in autumn 2025 was one of the richest in recent festival history: over 50 events at 13 different venues, spread over 15 days — meaning an average of more than three events per day, many of them running concurrently at several locations.

The opening concert with the Marion & Sobo Band set an initial musical highlight. Over the course of the two weeks, further concerts, theater performances, readings, exhibitions, film screenings, and lectures followed.

One of the particularly noted special guest performances was the "Oper-an-Canzone" performance by the Cecina association — a format that combines opera singing with the Italian Canzone tradition. The performance fit the internationality that the Gilching Culture Week cultivates: not only local, but also with supra-regional and international accents.

With a total of nearly 3,000 visitors out of a population of around 18,000, the public participation rate is exceptionally high — a testament to the event's deep roots in Gilching's community culture.
