Edition 2024 — Kulturnacht Gießen
The 1st Gießen Cultural Night in 2024 established the new festival format and brought together 65 locations and over 200 events in one night for the first time. Its success led to the consolidation of the format and the second edition in 2026.
The premiere edition of the Gießen Cultural Night 2024 established the decentralized urban culture format. Similar to 2026, the program ran for 19 hours with the aim of showcasing the entire cultural spectrum of the university city. The successful premiere then led to the development of the second edition in 2026.
Programme
Premiere with around 200 events at 65 locations – exhibitions, concerts, readings, city tours, parties, theater. Stadttheater Gießen, university buildings, and galleries as central venues.
