Overview

In 2025, the Geyersberg Festival once again animated the former State Garden Show park in Freyung with live music, acrobatics, a flame organ, and an international street food mile. Sunday was dedicated to families with children's programs and craft activities. One of the young cultural highlights of the Bavarian Forest.

In 2025, the town of Freyung established the Geyersberg Festival as a modern cultural counterpoint to the region's classic folk festivals (Volksfeste). On the three-part grounds — main stage, carousel area, Soundgarden — bands, acrobatics, and family activities alternated. The international street food mile also attracted day visitors from Passau, Grafenau, and neighboring Czech Republic.

The concept of the "The Mountain is Calling" motto, diverse programming, and intensive family offerings confirmed the format as one of the most innovative summer event organizers in the Bavarian Forest.
