Overview

The 38th Gersweiler Kirmes and the 58th Grenzland-Musikfest took place from August 30 to September 2, 2025, on the festival grounds 'Am Zimmerplatz' in Saarbrücken-Gersweiler. As always, featuring music clubs from the Saarland and Lorraine, a festival parade on Sunday, and a family Kirmes on Monday.

In 2025, the Musikzug Gersweiler again relied on the proven concept: four days of brass music, festival parade, Frühschoppen, and Kirmes classics. The Franco-German touch remains the hallmark — several clubs from neighboring Lorraine were present again, contributing to the typical borderland atmosphere that gives the festival its name.

Programme

The 2025 program followed the classic four-day schedule: Friday evening keg tapping and opening concerts, Saturday main concert evening with big band performances, Sunday festive church service, Frühschoppen, and a grand festival parade through Gersweiler, Monday family Kirmes with reduced ride prices. Music clubs from the Saarland, Lorraine, and other regions participated.
