Gerolstein swingt – Concert Opening Jazzlight

The Concert Opening Jazzlight marks the beginning of the newly conceived Gerolstein swingt concert series. Touristik Gerolsteiner Land presents twelve concerts throughout 2026 in various styles including Jazz, Blues, Rock'n'Roll, Dixie, and Swing at changing venues in Gerolstein and the surrounding region.

Jazzlight – The Sextet

Jazzlight is a sextet specializing in a broad repertoire of Swing classics, Latin pieces, Bossa Nova, and Blues. The ensemble combines brass, guitar, bass, and drums into a sonorous group that interprets both well-known standards and original arrangements. The band is established in the region and known for its energetic live performances.

Venue: Café-Bar Leo's

Café-Bar Leo's in the Hotel Löwenstein is a centrally located venue in Gerolstein. With its relaxed bar atmosphere and proven catering, it offers the ideal setting for an intimate jazz concert. In case of rain or cool weather, it also serves as an alternative venue for the series' open-air concerts.

Gerolstein swingt – The Concept

The Gerolstein swingt series is a joint project by Touristik Gerolsteiner Land, aimed at strengthening the Eifel town as a cultural hub. Alfons Hardt is responsible for the program. Confirmed concerts for 2026 include: March 31st Jazzlight, April 1st Schmitzbackes (Hillesheim), April 17th Jazz Vitation, May 29th Slaughterhouse Jazzband, July 10th Blue Swinging Dixies. All concerts are free – made possible by sponsors from the Gerolsteiner Land.

Opening Character

The concert on March 31, 2026, holds special significance: it opens the series and sets the tone for a whole year of swinging concerts in the Eifel. The opening event was well-received last year, leading Touristik to consistently continue and expand the series in 2026.
