Overview

In 2025, Gerach also celebrated its traditional Kirchweih over four days at the end of June. At the Laimbachtalhalle, locals and guests from the surrounding area gathered for the Kirchweih tree, church service, Frühschoppen, and dance music.

The Geracher Kirchweih 2025 followed the proven schedule of a Franconian village Kerwa: erection of the Kirchweih tree by the volunteer fire brigade on Friday, dance evening on Saturday, festive church service and Frühschoppen with the Geracher Musikanten on Sunday, and the traditional "Kehraus" on Monday.

With its funfair, bratwurst and steak stands, Franconian beers, and the unmistakable Upper Franconian conviviality, the Kerwa once again attracted numerous visitors from Gerach and the surrounding municipalities of the Bamberg district.
