Overview

The GeoGuessr World Championship 2025 took place in autumn 2025 and was the immediate predecessor to the major Berlin final in 2026. Even then, GeoGuessr established the format with top players from the GeoGuessr Pro League, a compact final round, and worldwide live streaming on Twitch — the foundation for the now four-day staging in Berlin. The growing reach, professionalized e-sport structures, and investment from GeoGuessr AB made the leap to the big arena festival possible.

The 2025 edition set the standard for GeoGuessr's e-sport ambitions: a compact final format, professional stage production, and six-figure viewership on Twitch. The tournament built on the established GeoGuessr Pro League, where players qualify for the World Championship over several seasons. Experienced top players like blinky, consus, MK, and zi8gzag dominated the scene and formed the core of the professional field. The 2025 edition provided the economic and sporting foundation for the significantly expanded Berlin edition in 2026 with its four-day schedule, community festival, and the Tempodrom arena as the venue.
