Overview
The Gelnhäuser Christmas Market 2025 ran from December 11th to 14th in the historic old town. With Hesse's largest Advent wreath, themed tours, medieval dances with Laikan, and a joint Christmas carol sing-along on the 3rd Advent, it was once again one of East Hesse's most atmospheric markets.
In 2025, too, the stalls were spread across Obermarkt and Untermarkt. The Obermarkt fountain became the Wreath of Hope, a harmonica workshop took place in the former synagogue, and themed city tours started daily at the Tourist Information office.
Programme
Classic four-day program with market stalls on Obermarkt and Untermarkt, medieval folk music (Laikan), llamas, themed tours, and family activities.
