The festival grounds extend across the Gerberviertel by the Rohrach stream, Karlstraße, the pedestrian zone on Hauptstraße, and the Kirchplatz. A continuous live music program will run on three stages on both days.

Four Quarters, One Festival
For over five decades, the Geislinger Hock has been the summer highlight in the calendar of the 'Fünftälerstadt' (city of five valleys). On July 24th and 25th, 2026, the four festival quarters will open again: the historic Gerberviertel by the Rohrach stream with its half-timbered houses, Karlstraße as the main axis of the festival, the pedestrian zone on Hauptstraße, and the Kirchplatz by the town church. Each quarter has its own character — from a family-friendly 'Frühshoppen' (morning pint) on the Kirchplatz to a loud rock stage in the pedestrian zone.
Three Stages, All Genres
Live music will be playing continuously on three stages on both festival days: regional bands, local artists, and DJs will provide a program ranging from rock and pop to Schlager and traditional brass music from Geislingen's music associations. Between concerts, visitors can stroll through the alleys, meet friends at the club stands, and sample the culinary offerings.
Clubs, Culinary Delights, and 'Hocketse' Tradition
Over 30 clubs, restaurateurs, and businesses from Geislingen will be serving food and drinks during the festival weekend. There will be Swabian classics like Maultaschen, Saitenwürstle, and Zwiebelrostbraten, alongside Flammkuchen, suckling pig, and international specialties. The traditional 'Hocketse' concept — sitting together at long beer benches, talking, and celebrating together — makes the Hock the social highlight of the summer in the region.
Geislingen an der Steige and the Swabian Jura
The city, with its approximately 28,000 inhabitants, is located at the foot of the Swabian Jura (Albtrauf), where the Swabian Jura drops steeply to the north. Geislingen is the gateway to the Alb and home to the WMF confectionery company — the historic old town with its half-timbered houses and the Eyb castle ruins provides the perfect backdrop for a traditional street festival.
52nd Edition Since the 1970s
The Geislinger Hock dates back to the early 1970s and is now one of the oldest and largest street festivals in the region. The 'Interessengemeinschaft Geislinger Hock e.V.' (Geislinger Hock Interest Group) organizes the festival together with the city administration and local clubs. In conjunction with the Geislingen City Festival, the Sunday flea market, and the Monday Children's Festival, the Hock marks the opening weekend of the Geislingen summer festivals.
