Gartenträume Burg Hülshoff — Garden Fair on Pentecost Weekend
From May 23rd to 25th, 2026, the Gartenträume fair will open its gates on the meadows, in the park, and in the courtyard of the historic moated castle Burg Hülshoff in Havixbeck (Münsterland). Three Pentecost days, 34,000 m² of event space, and over 100 exhibitors from the garden and lifestyle sector make this fair one of the most important garden fair dates in North Rhine-Westphalia.
Burg Hülshoff — Historic Setting
Burg Hülshoff is a magnificent 16th-century moated castle — and the birthplace of the poet Annette von Droste-Hülshoff (1797–1848). Today, it is open as a cultural space and museum, providing a unique setting for the garden fair. The baroque garden, the moats, and the adjacent park make the visit an experiential journey — far from any anonymous indoor trade fair.

Havixbeck — Münsterland Municipality
The municipality of Havixbeck (around 12,000 inhabitants) is located in the Coesfeld district in Münsterland (North Rhine-Westphalia). It is part of the typical Münsterland park landscape with moated castles and is considered the "Gateway to Münsterland". In addition to Burg Hülshoff, Haus Rüschhaus (later residence of Droste-Hülshoff) also belongs to the municipality — both locations are attractions for literature and architecture enthusiasts.
