Overview
In August 2025, the GartenKultur-Musikfestival once again attracted thousands of visitors with dozens of concerts in the gardens and parks of the Bremen region. In the Hanseatic city itself, several concerts were on the program at venues such as Kränholm in northern Bremen and Cato-Bontjes-van-Beek-Platz, with a repertoire ranging from classical music to jazz, folk, blues, and salon music. Some concerts were free to attend. Thus, the festival organized by the Kommunalverbund Niedersachsen/Bremen once again confirmed its reputation as one of the largest decentralized music festivals in northwestern Germany.
The 2025 edition followed the proven concept: a full festival month of August with concerts in private and public gardens, avenues, and parks in the region. In Bremen, Kränholm and Cato-Bontjes-van-Beek-Platz were among the venues; the musical range extended from classical and jazz to folk, tango, blues, and boogie-woogie. Several concerts were accessible free of charge, making the festival a low-threshold cultural offering with great regional appeal.
