Overview

The 2025 Gartenfest of the Alpengruß Wildsteig Traditional Costume Association took place on Assumption Day at Stockplatz. Villagers, friendly traditional costume associations, and tourists from the Pfaffenwinkel gathered — with catering, Plattler performances, and musical accompaniment by the local brass band. A classic Bavarian traditional costume festival in one of the most traditional villages of the Oberland.

The 2025 edition followed the annual tradition of the association. The Gartenfest on Assumption Day has been a fixed date in the Wildsteig customs calendar for many years — characterized by the local costume culture, faith, and village conviviality.

The small traditional costume festivals of the Upper Bavarian associations are the backbone of the vibrant costume culture of the Pfaffenwinkel. They finance youth work, costume maintenance, and club life — and offer visitors an authentic insight into a culture that remains alive without tourist staging.
