Overview

The 2025 garden festival of the Musikverein Thierhaupten 1863 e.V. took place as usual in the monastery courtyard. With Bavarian brass music, catering in the monastery garden, and the tried-and-tested mix of the main band, youth band, and guest associations, the weekend provided a relaxed summer atmosphere in the Lechrain.

A Tried-and-Tested Club Tradition

For decades, the Musikverein Thierhaupten 1863 e.V. has maintained its garden festival. In 2025, the weekend unfolded in its usual format: opening concert on Saturday, Frühschoppen on Sunday, with Bavarian specialties and the charm of a historic monastery complex as the backdrop in between.

Club Life on the Lechrain

Like many Bavarian-Swabian music associations, the Thierhaupten musicians also contribute financially to club life with their garden festival. The proceeds go towards instruments, sheet music, and youth work – without these club festivals, the region's brass music tradition would be endangered in the long term.
