Overview

The gamescom city festival 2025, running parallel to the gamescom trade fair, once again attracted thousands of gaming and pop fans to Cologne's city center. Open-air concerts, gaming stations, and street food trucks were spread along the Rudolfplatz–Hohenzollernring–Friesenplatz axis, confirming the format as a central urban accompanying event for the trade fair.

The 2025 edition ran for five days parallel to the main trade fair in Cologne-Deutz. Several stages featured indie, pop, and hip-hop acts; the concept of free admission, diverse music program, and gaming stations once again proved to be a crowd-pleaser.

The mix of trade fair highlight and urban open-air format has established itself since its first edition — it plays to Cologne's dual role as Europe's gaming capital and a festival location.
