Overview
In 2025, the Gärtnerplatz Open Air once again attracted thousands of music lovers to the green square in the heart of Munich. Saturday offered jazz and pop, while Sunday belonged to the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz, which presented excerpts from its repertoire with its ensemble, choir, and orchestra.
As in previous years, admission was free, and a street food market with Augustiner beer provided a summery festive atmosphere. The festival once again confirmed its reputation as Munich's largest classical open-air event.
Programme
The Gärtnerplatz Open Air 2025 followed the established concept: Saturday jazz and pop, Sunday performance by the Staatstheater am Gärtnerplatz with opera, operetta, and musical excerpts, hosted by the Intendant. Street food market on both days.
