A Kerb with a Calendar Shift

The Gabsheimer Kerb has decided on a calendar shift for 2026: Instead of the usual September weekend, the festival will henceforth take place on the third weekend of August. This decision takes into account the wishes of the associations and the local municipality to hold the Kerb in a warmer, more pleasant season and to allow for longer outdoor festivities. Gabsheim, a wine-growing village in the Selz valley between Wörrstadt and Wallertheim, offers the perfect setting for an authentic Rhenish-Hessian folk festival with its manageable village structure.

Flea Market and Vintage Cars on Sunday

On Kerb Sunday in Gabsheim, the focus is entirely on special attractions. Along the main street, the village transforms into a large flea market where private sellers and antique dealers present their treasures. Anyone looking for antiques, curiosities, or simply a good bargain will find something here. In parallel, the vintage car exhibition attracts lovers of historic automobiles, tractors, and motorcycles: gleaming chrome, leather seats, and the smell of old engines create a nostalgic atmosphere.

Wine, Food, and Conviviality

Local associations, the volunteer fire brigade, and the winegrowers of Gabsheim operate their stalls at the village community centre. They serve Spundekäs with pretzels, sausages, Saumagen (a regional speciality), and onion cake, accompanied by Riesling, Silvaner, Grauburgunder, and Spätburgunder from the village's vineyards. In the evening, a live band takes the stage, creating a great atmosphere with cover versions, hits, and dialect music.
