Overview

The 43rd Fürth Old Town Christmas Market took place again in 2025 at Waagplatz. Ten days of craft demonstrations, choir singing, jazz, and culinary specialties in the historic old town of Fürth – completely volunteer-run by the Altstadtverein St. Michael.

The 2025 edition of the Fürth Old Town Christmas Market once again confirmed the special character of the festival: artisanal, cultural, volunteer-run. Glassblowers, blacksmiths, and woodcarvers demonstrated their skills, while choirs, brass ensembles, and jazz acts alternated on stage.

Mulled wine from vintner Heindel, Fürth sausages, and winter specialties made the market a sensory experience against the backdrop of St. Michael's Church. As every year, proceeds from food and drinks went towards the maintenance of the Freibank and restoration projects in Fürth's old town – a concept that distinguishes the Altstadtverein St. Michael.
