Overview

The 2025 edition of the Funhouse Festival once again brought Hip-Hop and Indie Pop to Nordmarksportfeld Kiel. With a curated lineup mix of German pop stars, Hip-Hop acts, and DJ sets, the young festival established itself as a fixture in Kiel's summer calendar — between the Kieler Woche in June and the Reeperbahn Festival in Hamburg in September.

Review: Funhouse Festival 2025

In 2025, Funhouse Festival GbR once again used Nordmarksportfeld in Kiel's Schreventeich district for two days of urban city festival. The concept of Hip-Hop and Indie Pop on the main stage, silent disco, and street food area proved to be an attractive alternative for young festival fans in the Hamburg metropolitan region and Schleswig-Holstein.

The sponsorship alliance (Delta Radio, Sparkasse, Heineken) and the volunteer program made the festival a stable format with local roots. The experience from 2025 influenced the 2026 program, with a stronger Hip-Hop focus (Makko as headliner).
