Overview

The 2025 Frühlingserwachen marked the season opening at Wilhelmsburger Inselpark. On Kurt-Emmerich-Platz, residents of Wilhelmsburg and guests gathered for a family afternoon with dance, the Spring Olympiad, creative stations, and free entry to the WÄLDERHAUS Science Center. Organiser: Hamburg-Mitte borough office.

The 2025 season opening followed the established concept: six hours of programming on Kurt-Emmerich-Platz and in the surrounding park, featuring stage performances, participatory sports stations, creative offerings, and environmental education.

The Spring Olympiad with its ten disciplines was also a family highlight in 2025; dance groups, Theater Mimekry, and the BalFolk concert structured the afternoon. The WÄLDERHAUS Science Center opened its doors for free — a gesture that complemented the programme with an educational offering.
