Edition 2025 — Frühkirmes Neuwerk
The Frühkirmes Neuwerk 2025 took place on the last Monday in April. The St. Barbara Bruderschaft 1497 continued its 528th Frühkirmes tradition with a horse procession, parade float, and Kirmes operations at the Gathersweg parking lot. Thousands of residents and guests from northern Mönchengladbach gathered for one of the oldest brotherhood spectacles on the Lower Rhine.
Last year, the Frühkirmes took place in Neuwerk as it has for generations. Horse procession, parade float, King and Queen — the format has remained essentially unchanged since the late Middle Ages.
