Overview
The predecessor edition of the Frequenzen-Festival took place in August 2024 on the Rathausplatz in Meldorf. As usual, the festival, held every two years, combined international world music with free admission and the historic setting of the Dithmarschen district town.
In August 2024, the last edition of the Frequenzen-Festival took place — as always on the second Saturday in August in an even-numbered year. International bands from several continents performed on the open-air stage in front of the Meldorf Cathedral. Frequenzen-Festival e.V. once again confirmed that a sophisticated world music program is possible even far from major cities — and that it finds an audience in the state of Schleswig-Holstein.
