Overview

The 2025 Freiburg Wine Festival once again gathered thousands of wine lovers on Münsterplatz. Around 60 Baden wineries served over 400 wines – Markgräfler Gutedel, Kaiserstuhl Burgundy, Tuniberg whites, and Breisgau Spätburgunder. The 52nd edition confirmed the festival's position as an important showcase for Baden wine culture.

At the 2025 Freiburg Wine Festival, thousands of visitors once again flocked to Münsterplatz in early July. Around 60 Baden wineries and cooperatives presented their wines under the open sky – with the Gothic Minster and the magnificent facade of the Historisches Kaufhaus as a backdrop. The 52nd edition was traditionally opened on the Thursday in front of the Historisches Kaufhaus, and on Friday and Saturday, the stands stayed open until 1 AM. Over 400 wines from Markgräflerland, Kaiserstuhl, Tuniberg, Breisgau, and Ortenau were available for tasting; plus Sekt and Crémant from Baden. Admission was free, as always. The Freiburg Wine Festival once again proved to be a cultural and tourist highlight of the Freiburg summer in 2025.
