Overview

The Freiberger Bürgerfest 2024 offered three days of festivities in the city center with over 50 clubs, several stages, culinary specialties, and the 13th Civic Festival Run on Friday evening. The biennial format was celebrated with great attendance from Freiberg and the surrounding districts of Geisingen, Beihingen, and Heutingsheim.

Bürgerfest 2024 — Club Life Outdoors

The Freiberger Bürgerfest 2024 continued the tradition of the biennial club festival in the city center. As usual, it kicked off with the 13th Freiberger Bürgerfestlauf on Friday evening, with over 1,600 participants on the four courses: Bambini, school runs, FunRun, and 10 km main run. Marktstraße then transformed into a continuous festival mile, where over 50 clubs, restaurateurs, and initiatives from Freiberg, Geisingen, Beihingen, and Heutingsheim operated their stands and stages.

For three days, the town celebrated with live music, food and drinks, a family program, and a lively Saturday evening, before the festival traditionally concluded on Sunday with Frühschoppen and a family day. Over 30,000 visitors were expected – a testament to the Bürgerfest's firm place in the Freiberg calendar.
