Fränkischer Kinosommer Bamberg — Edition 2025

The 2025 edition continued the proven concept: summer blockbusters were mixed with selected German films and arthouse highlights. As every year, the festival ran concurrently with the open-air cinema series in other Franconian cities. The audience, a mix of Bamberg families, students from the University of Bamberg, and summer tourists, particularly appreciated the location directly by the water in the UNESCO World Heritage surroundings. As in previous years, tickets were cheaper in advance than at the box office, and seat reservations are traditionally not offered at the Fränkischer Kinosommer.
