In 2025, the Frankenfestspiele Röttingen once again presented evening productions of comedies, musicals, and operettas, along with a rich programme for Young Theatre, in the courtyard of Brattenstein Castle. The festival maintained its established position as one of Southern Germany's most distinguished open-air theatre festivals between Würzburg and the Romantic Road.
2025 Season
The 2025 season of the Frankenfestspiele Röttingen followed the proven format: three evening productions (comedy, musical, operetta), Festival Cocktail, and a packed programme for Young Theatre – all productions in the historic courtyard of Brattenstein Castle, with a move to the alternative venue in case of rain.
During this season, the Young Theatre also prepared for its 10th anniversary, which will be celebrated in 2026 with a special programme. The festival thus remained an important cultural attraction in the southern district of Würzburg and at the southern end of the Romantic Road.
