Edition 2024 — Forweiler Dorffest
The 15th Forweiler Dorffest took place on June 15 and 16, 2024, at the Altforweiler fairground with the 2nd Forweiler Village Market on Sunday. Classic Saarland village festival atmosphere with keg tapping, a cover band on Saturday evening, fanfare brunch, and market on Sunday.
The 15th edition marked a small anniversary for the OIG Altforweiler. Saturday was dedicated to the official opening, the keg tapping, and a live performance by the regional cover band "Crazy," which played rock, pop, and Schlager classics starting at 7:30 PM.
Sunday began with the traditional brunch starting at 11 AM, where music clubs from the surrounding area played fanfares and marches. Simultaneously, the 2nd Forweiler Village Market opened with regional vendors from the Saarland and the adjacent Lorraine region.
Note: The 2025 event did not take place, as the village festival is organized biennially. Instead, the OIG organized the Federweißerfest on October 4, 2025.
