In 2025, Föhr erLesen once again brought together authors over ten festival days — with the characteristic format of classic readings, bus readings, live podcasts, and musical-literary hybrids. Since its inception, the festival has established itself as a reliable event in the island's late summer calendar.
Format and Atmosphere
As in previous years, the venues combined thatched-roof culture with modern literary business — readings took place both in the classic halls of the island communities and in unusual locations such as cemetery chapels, beaches, or moving island buses.
Programme
The 2025 program followed the proven structure: opening on the first weekend of September, followed by ten days of readings, hiking experiences, and multimedia formats.
