Overview

The sixth edition of fluctoplasma took place in autumn 2025, again decentralized at various venues in Hamburg. The focus was on themes such as discrimination, systemic violence, and social justice – artistically negotiated in dance, performance, music, lecture formats, and visual arts.

fluctoplasma 2025 – Sixth Edition

From Thursday, October 23 to Sunday, October 26, 2025, fluctoplasma took over Hamburg for the sixth time in a decentralized festival parcours. As in previous years, the program bundled performance, dance, experimental music, lecture-performances, and visual arts – spread across central venues such as the MARKK, the Central Library, the Kölibri / GWA St. Pauli, and LICHTHOF Rentzelstraße.

In 2025, the focus was on themes such as structural discrimination, post-colonial perspectives, and the question of how a pluralistic urban society creates spaces for visibility. The Pay-What-You-Want tickets remained in effect, supplemented by an awareness concept and a Code of Conduct that clearly addresses discrimination and harassment.

The positive response from Hamburg's cultural scene laid the foundation for the 2026 edition, which, with the theme "humanity in (dis)solution," places an even stronger emphasis on transformative discourses.
