Overview

The Flensburger Grogtörn 2025 took place as always on December 26th. "The hardy souls" met at Flensburg Museum Harbour, the fleet set sail around 11 AM, and returned around 3 PM. Afterwards, the gathering continued convivially on the ship Gesine. As always, the entry fee was a bottle of rum.

The Flensburger Grogtörn 2025 continued the maritime tradition that the Flensburg Museum Harbour Association has been fostering since the early 1990s. On the second Christmas day, boat owners and crew members met at the Museum Harbour, brought their mandatory bottles of rum, and set sail on the Flensburg Fjord around 11 AM. The winter fjord trip lasted about four hours, after which everyone gathered on the ship Gesine for "maritime conversation and refreshments"—the typical mix of seafaring tradition, German-Danish harbour culture, and Nordic winter conviviality.
