Edition 2025 — Flensburg Marathon
The 7th edition of the Flensburg loves you Marathon took place on Sunday, September 7, 2025, with mild late summer weather. Around 2,500 runners started at Südermarkt for the seven competitions — from marathon to Bambini run — and completed the proven 10.55 km circuit along the Flensburg Fjord.
Review: 7th Flensburg loves you Marathon 2025
The first Sunday in September 2025 saw Flensburg's old town once again transform into a running mile. Marathon, Half Marathon, 10 km and 5 km runs, Relay Marathon, Kids Run, and Bambini Run were started — as always with start and finish at Südermarkt and over the fjord circuit. The course led participants through the pedestrian zone, harbor basin, Kielseng, fjord bank, and Nordertor back into the old town.
As in previous years, the race offered a strong atmosphere in the city center: cheering along the entire route, refreshment stops, live music at the harbor, and a well-attended finish area at Südermarkt. Main partners remained VR Bank Nord, Jacob Cement, FRS, AOK, Beckmann Küchen, Mr. Scandis Funpark, and Kaskade.
