Christmas Market on Rathausplatz

The Rathausplatz in Fischbach near Dahn forms the natural center of the small Felsenland community. During Advent, wooden huts and stalls are lined up here, decorated with fir green, fairy lights, and small nativity scenes. The square invites visitors to linger and offers – unlike the large city markets – a very village-like, personal atmosphere.

Clubs, School, and Kindergarten

The market is primarily supported by local clubs, the kindergarten, and the primary school. The children create crafts that are sold to benefit the school or kindergarten. Clubs offer mulled wine, punch, bratwurst, waffles, and crêpes. The proceeds go towards club activities and local community projects.

Music in Advent

Choirs, brass ensembles, and school choirs perform on a small stage or in the church's outdoor area. Classical Christmas carols, modern Advent pieces, and occasionally instrumental solo performances form the musical program. A short devotion or an ecumenical Advent sing-along often takes place.

In the Dahn Felsenland

Fischbach near Dahn is located in the heart of the Dahn Felsenland, one of the most beautiful natural landscapes in the Palatinate. Striking sandstone rocks, mixed forests, and numerous hiking trails characterize the surroundings. The Christmas market can be easily combined with a short winter hike or a visit to the neighboring Christmas markets in Dahn and Erfweiler.
