Edition 2025 — Finsterbergfest

The Finsterbergfest 2025 took place on the first Sunday in June on the Finsterberg summit. Several hundred hikers from Schmiedefeld, Vesser, Stützerbach, and Suhl made their way to the summit to attend the traditional mountain festival with folk music, homemade cakes, and Thuringian bratwurst.

Finsterbergfest 2025 — Review

As in previous years, on June 1, 2025, residents of the Rennsteig villages and hikers from the wider region gathered on the Finsterberg summit. The Schmiedefeld am Rennsteig Tourist Association organized the festival with its usual mix of folk music, competitions, and cake buffet. Thus, the decades-long tradition of the mountain festival hike continued without interruption.
