The 2025 edition of CINELATINO Freiburg took place in April at the Kommunales Kino, bringing current feature, documentary, and short films from Spain, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and other Latin American countries to the screens of Freiburg — a week of curated programming with premieres, retrospectives, and film talks.

CINELATINO 2025 in Freiburg

In April 2025, CINELATINO once again invited audiences to a week of Latin American cinema at the Kommunales Kino Freiburg. As every year, the festival ran parallel in Tübingen, Stuttgart, and Reutlingen, with the Freiburg program concentrated at the Kommunales Kino in the Wiehre district.

The program included current feature films from Spain and Latin America, a competition section, short film programs, documentaries, and an ancillary program with film talks. The regular Freiburg audience of cinephiles, Romance studies students, and the Latin American community filled the screenings — many were sold out.
