The 25th edition of Filmfest FrauenWelten took place in November 2025 at Kino in der KulturBrauerei in Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg. With around 30 international films, film discussions, and accompanying events, TERRE DES FEMMES celebrated its quarter-century anniversary at its Berlin location, underscoring the festival's importance as a central platform for women's rights in the German film calendar.
The 25th edition of Filmfest FrauenWelten in 2025 marked an anniversary: a quarter-century of TERRE DES FEMMES as a festival organizer, with the last five years in Berlin. At Kino in der KulturBrauerei, the festival screened around 30 international films on women's and human rights; many screenings were accompanied by film discussions, supplemented by a reading and city tours. As in previous years, the focus was on stories of women fighting for self-determination — against violence, discrimination, genital mutilation, and for equal participation in education, politics, and work. With the 2025 anniversary edition, TERRE DES FEMMES laid the groundwork for the 26th edition from November 18 to 24, 2026.
