The FichtelUltra Fun Run 2 in Autumn 2025 confirmed the initiative's character: not a large commercial event, but a manageable trail experience in the Fichtelgebirge for runners who love the outdoors and long distances. Over 40 participants gathered for an intensive day on the trails of the Upper Franconian low mountain range landscape.

The ideal autumn weather and the strong family support — relatives and friends at aid stations and along the route — gave the run a special character that clearly distinguishes it from classic competitive ultras. Alongside the fun run, the FichtelUltra team pursued its own FKT projects, such as the 12-summit tour of the Fichtelgebirge.
