Overview

On Saturday, June 21, 2025, the Museum of European Cultures again participated in the city-wide Fête de la Musique. As part of the MEK event day, the museum garden in Berlin-Dahlem opened its doors in the late afternoon for a free open-air concert featuring European music styles, integrated into a full-day program of hands-on activities and free collection exploration.

In 2025, the Museum of European Cultures once again hosted the Fête de la Musique in its garden at Arnimallee 25 in Berlin-Dahlem. As every year, the concert took place on June 21st – the longest day of the year and the traditional date for this event originating from France.

The concert was held in the late afternoon in the museum garden and was part of the museum's all-day event, which offered free access to the MEK's permanent collection as well as current special exhibitions. Workshops on patterns, hands-on activities for children, and short guided tours accompanied the day.

As at all venues of the Berlin Fête de la Musique, admission was free. The MEK thus joined the city-wide network of around 100 stages that transform Berlin into a free open-air music city every June 21st.
