Overview

In 2025, the 19th Norddeutscher Tag at Festung Dömitz was once again one of the most important Low German-focused festival dates in southwestern Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The craft market, the stage with its Low German program, and regional gastronomy attracted visitors from across the entire Elbe region, as usual.

The 2025 edition of the Norddeutscher Tag took place, as usual, in late spring at Festung Dömitz. On the fortress grounds, Northern German artisans offered their products, Low German folk music and theater groups performed on stage, and regional gastronomy provided guests with Elbe-region specialties.

Since its inaugural edition in 2006, the festival has been a flagship event for the town of Dömitz and part of its extensive event program at the historic fortress site. In 2025, this marked the 19th edition – in preparation for the major 20th-anniversary celebration in 2026.
