Overview

The 2025 Festival Summer of the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern once again brought classical music to the most beautiful locations in the state over three months. The open-air Kurmuschel in Sassnitz was also part of the venue network, offering concerts against the backdrop of the Baltic Sea.

In the 2025 Festival Summer, the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern continued their tradition as a state-wide classical music festival. At around 80 venues – from manor houses and churches to open-air stages – music resonated in a dense concert programme. The Kurmuschel at the Kurplatz in Sassnitz was among the maritime locations of the season, offering festival guests concerts right by the water.

As in previous years, the festival combined top-class programmes with the natural scenery of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, attracting visitors from across the region as well as holidaymakers to the Baltic Sea.
