Edition 2025 — FERRA
The FERRA Festival will have its first edition in 2026. The predecessor at the same location was the HIVE Festival, which annually attracted thousands of techno fans to the Völklinger Hütte from 2012 to 2019 and is considered the aesthetic model for FERRA.
In 2025, there was no FERRA taking place at the Hütte grounds yet — the format only starts in 2026. Between 2012 and 2019, the HIVE Festival shaped the techno identity of the Völklinger Hütte with up to 20,000 visitors per edition and established acts like Karenn, Ben Klock, or Function.
Programme
Over five stages on the Hütte grounds, the HIVE Festival programmed Hard and Underground Techno with an industrial aesthetic. FERRA inherits this DNA and expands it with new stylistic spaces and laser technology.
