Farbenfroh Culture Festival Kreyenbrück

The Farbenfroh Culture Festival is one of Oldenburg's most vibrant neighborhood festivals. It makes the Kreyenbrück district – located in the south of the city, with its own history and profile – visible and celebrates its cultural diversity.

Kreyenbrück Sports Park as Festival Venue

For the first time in 2026, the festival will take place in the Kreyenbrück Sports Park (Brandenburger Straße 40). The new location expands the stage and meeting areas, creating an open festival landscape with meadows, paths, and sports fields that are repurposed into a cultural promenade.

16 Venues

16 venues are spread across the entire sports park area. Each has its own profile – a large main stage, intimate acoustic corners, performance spaces, meeting zones, children's areas. Visitors stroll along the promenade and discover the various program points one after another.

23 Acts

The 2026 program features 23 acts – bands, solo musicians, dance groups, performance artists, and associations from Kreyenbrück and Oldenburg. The selection reflects the cultural breadth of the district and provides a stage for both established artists and young or occasional ensembles.

Cultural Promenade Concept

Unlike a classic festival with a fixed main stage, Farbenfroh is designed as a promenade. The deliberately short time window of three hours (5 PM–8 PM) concentrates the experience – each visitor creates their own path through the program.

Music, Dance, Encounters

The program is divided into three pillars: Music (from acoustic to pop to world music), Dance (stage shows, participatory formats), and Encounters (initiatives, associations, workshops, discussions). The festival explicitly sees itself as a space for people of different origins, generations, and walks of life to meet.

Admission is free. The festival is supported by the City of Oldenburg and funding partners.
