Overview

In 2025, Lebendiges Mielkendorf e.V. again invited to the Familiensportfest in the village gymnasium. Six hours of participatory activities for all generations with sports stations, equipment courses, games, and a break café. The event has been a fixture in the summer calendar of the community in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district for years.

The 2025 edition of the Familiensportfest took place as usual on a Saturday afternoon in the Mielkendorf gymnasium. Lebendiges Mielkendorf e.V. organised six hours of participatory activities: equipment courses for children, game stations with small competitions, accessible activities from adult departments, and a break café.

The Familiensportfest is part of a year-round programme that the association organises for the Mielkendorf population — alongside the village flea market, summer crafts, apple festival, lantern parade, readings, and the living Advent calendar. The Mielkendorf tradition: sport and culture as a means of holding together village life in a rapidly growing commuter community on the outskirts of Kiel.
