Overview

The 2025 season of Falkenhof Schloss Rosenburg, as always, ran from mid-March to mid-October, offering seven months of daily flight demonstrations with eagles, falcons, vultures, and buzzards on the Jura rock above the Altmühltal. One of Germany's most traditional bird of prey demonstrations and a must-see for family outings in the Altmühltal Nature Park.

The 2025 season continued the established schedule: two daily flight demonstrations (11 AM and 3 PM, except Mondays), birds of prey in free flight, and educational introductions to the biology and behavior of the animals. The falconers worked closely with the raptors, presenting Golden Eagles, Bald Eagles, Peregrine Falcons, Saker Falcons, Vultures, Buzzards, and Owls in free flight over the castle grounds.

Falkenhof Schloss Rosenburg is one of Germany's oldest show falconry centers (since 1978) and a staple of tourism in the Altmühltal region. School classes, families, nature enthusiasts – the demonstrations appeal to all audiences, impressively conveying the fascination of birds of prey.
