EybergLauf Dahn (5th Edition)

The EybergLauf Dahn is a comparatively young, but quickly established trail run event in the Dahner Felsenland. The 5th edition in 2026 confirms its firm place in the Palatinate running and trail running calendar. The venue is the Sportpark Dahn as the start and finish; the main route leads through the spectacular landscape of the Dahner Felsenland and over the Eyberg with the distinctive Eybergturm.

Three Routes

The competition offers three distances:

• EybergLauf (11 km / Main Run): Challenging trail run with ascent to the Eybergturm. Scoring run in the WasgauCup 2026. Start 3:00 PM.
• UngeheuerLauf (5 km): Shorter route for beginners and recreational runners. Start also at 3:00 PM (mass start).
• Youth Run (2 km): For young runners. Start 2:15 PM.

The Eybergturm

The Eybergturm is a 25-meter-high observation tower on the Eyberg (487 m) in the Dahner Felsenland. From the tower, there is a wide view over the striking red sandstone rocks of the Felsenland, the southern Palatinate Forest, and – in clear weather – into the Northern Vosges on the French side. The ascent to the tower is part of the main route and makes the EybergLauf a special running experience.

The WasgauCup

The WasgauCup is a series of regional trail runs in the Dahner Felsenland and the neighboring Wasgau region. Participants collect points throughout the season and compete for the overall ranking. The EybergLauf is the 3rd stage of the 2026 Cup and therefore a must-attend event for many ambitious trail runners in the region.

Atmosphere and Surroundings

The Sportpark Dahn offers good infrastructure for the start, finish, and festival activities. After the competition, the social part with catering, award ceremony, and exchange among athletes takes place. The organizers emphasize a family-friendly atmosphere and organized execution.
