Overview

The 21st European Days of Culture at the MEK took place in July and August 2025. As every year, the series was dedicated to a European region. Concerts, film screenings, readings, and tastings were spread over four weeks at the Museum of European Cultures in Berlin-Dahlem. Cooperation partners were the respective cultural institutes and tourism organizations of the presented region.

The European Days of Culture 2025 continued the MEK's annual tradition of presenting a European region in a multi-week program format. Over approximately four weeks, concerts, film screenings, readings, lectures, and tastings were held at the museum in Berlin-Dahlem (Steglitz-Zehlendorf borough).

The Museum of European Cultures remained the organizer in cooperation with the respective cultural diplomatic representatives of the presented region. Admission to the accompanying special exhibition followed regular MEK admission prices; individual concerts and tastings required advance registration or an additional fee.

With this edition, the format confirmed its status as an important bridge in Berlin between various European regions and the capital. It laid the groundwork for the 22nd edition, which will focus on the Austrian federal state of Tyrol in 2026.
