Overview

The 35th euro-scene Leipzig 2025 ran from November 4th to 9th and once again presented twelve to fourteen international productions from dance and theatre. The venues — Schauspiel, Oper, Schaubühne Lindenfels, LOFFT, Westflügel — confirmed their reputation as stages for one of Europe's most important festivals of its kind.

The 35th anniversary edition in 2025 once again demonstrated how euro-scene has established itself as a fixture in the international dance and theatre landscape since 1991. Artistic Direction: Christian Watty; funded by the City of Leipzig and the Saxon State Ministry for Science, Culture and Tourism.

In 2025, the festival once again confirmed its profile: world premieres, co-productions, and German premieres with pieces that address societal issues. The «Das beste deutsche Tanzsolo» competition was again a much-noticed highlight.
