The Ettenstatt Kirchweih is the traditional Kärwa (a Franconian term for Kirchweih) of the municipality of Ettenstatt in the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district, right in the heart of Altmühlfranken. "Kärwa" or "Kerwa" is the Franconian term for Kirchweih – a multi-day folk festival that combines religion, customs, and exuberant conviviality.

For four days, the festival tent, freshly tapped beer, hearty Franconian snacks, and social interaction define the events. The Kärwa traditionally includes the surrounding districts of Ettenstatt, making it a celebration for the entire community. It is supported by the voluntary commitment of Ettenstatt's local clubs.
