Overview

The fourth edition of the Storytelling Festival with Crafts Market took place at the end of September 2025 at Abenberg Castle. At several stations within the castle grounds, professional storytellers from Central Franconia and the wider storytelling scene performed. In parallel, the castle moat transformed into a crafts market with live craft demonstrations and regional specialties.

The 2025 edition of the Storytelling Festival at Abenberg Castle continued the proven station concept: small groups, intimate storytelling spaces in the castle courtyard, halls, and under the castle walls. The selection of storytellers followed the tradition of combining voices from Central Franconia with guests from beyond the region.

The Crafts Market, featuring live craft demonstrations, Franconian artisan crafts, and catering, framed the storytelling program. Family-friendly, calm, and focused – typical for the castle's storytelling formats.
